Transforming lives through the healing power of Yoga & Tai Chi.
Meet Grisell, your Yoga & Tai Chi instructor
Grisell Gonzalez is a distinguished Yoga Therapist and Tai Chi instructor whose passion for Yoga blossomed as a student at the University of Washington. Yoga was a way to find solace and presence amidst daily stress. The introspective and calming effects of her first yoga class sparked a deep love for the practice. This love led her to pursue Ananda Yoga, a spiritually enriching style that emphasizes affirmations and meditation, deepening her connection to yoga beyond the physical aspects.
After becoming a mother, Grisell sought a flexible career that could accommodate her new family life, which led her to teaching yoga. Her formal yoga journey accelerated after enrolling in a yoga teacher training program in Seattle that specialized in Ananda Yoga. The program was guided by seasoned instructors, some of whom had roots in India, providing her with a profound understanding of yoga philosophy and safe practice techniques.Â
What began as a modest goal to teach a few classes a week evolved into a passion and a calling to guide individuals on their paths to better health and improved quality of life.Â
Finding her purpose
Grisell’s professional path took a significant turn towards yoga therapy after realizing the therapeutic potential of yoga. Medical professionals started referring patients with various health issues to her. As a result, she pursued specialized training in yoga therapy. Her training was enriched by experts from various fields, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and psychotherapy, which significantly influenced her teaching style.

Grisell is celebrated for her ability to connect deeply with her students, creating a healing environment that extends beyond physical wellness to emotional and mental support.
Her approach is deeply empathetic and personalized, ensuring that each student receives the support and encouragement they need to thrive. Classes not only focus on physical health but also emphasize the mental and emotional benefits of mindfulness and movement.

Embracing the Journey: A Path to Mind-Body Harmony
In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., "Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?" This powerful statement encapsulates the essence of service and its profound impact on both individuals and communities.
What is yoga Therapy & what can you expect?
Embracing the ethos of Karma yoga, the path of action and service, has been my guiding light. As a mother of two boys and a partner to someone who champions my wildest dreams, I've been schooled in patience, love, and fairness on a daily basis.Â
Meditation: The highest form of activity
Entering the realm of meditation can feel like stepping into a labyrinth of the mind, where the allure of tranquility is often overshadowed by the daunting task of stilling our thoughts. Many approach meditation with romanticized notions, only to be deterred by the energy it demands.Â
